Man sagte uns, dass Maui bei Weitem nicht so stressig und touristig wie O’ahu sein sollte und das ist absolut richtig. Schon bei unserer Ankunft, 21 Uhr am Abend, haben wir von der netten Damen von der Autovermietung ein Upgrade auf ein einen Jeep Wrangler bekommen. Zwar nicht kostenlos aber doch sehr Preiswert. Die erste Woche Hawaii, auf O’ahu, ist viel zu schnell vergangen. Wir waren am Anfang skeptisch, ob die Idee mit Hawaii so gut war. Die Preise für ein Hotelzimmer oder ein Apartment sind momentan unbezahlbar. Immerhin ist Hauptsaison und die Inseln sind nahezu ausgebucht. Mehr lesen →

Mit der Fähre ging es also nun rüber auf die Nordinsel von Neuseeland. Hier wurden wir mit einer steifen Brise in Wellington empfangen. Trotz der wenigen Tage die uns noch blieben, besichtigten wir einen Nachmittag Wellington City, gingen Shoppen und fuhren mit der berühmten Cable Car. Mehr lesen →
